The DoDIN Enterprise Foundations Department (N241) is seeking a Cybersecurity Interrn interested in bringing innovative solutions to unique national challenges. The Enterprise Foundations Department focuses on building an exciting work program which includes: securing our networks & data; modernization of data and communications transport; modernizing DoD's Command and Control (C2) Communications (C3) systems; Senior Leadership Communications; reimagining the DoD Information Network (DoDIN); and, advancing artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities where it makes sense. ?
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate cyber capabilities in lab environment
Testing and evaluation of cyber capabilities in support of transition to Zero-Trust architecture
Research emerging technologies in regards to Zero-Trust architectures
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship
Sustained excellence in academic performance
Strong desire to continuously learn about cyber-defensive capabilities and Zero-Trust architectures
Understanding of Cybersecurity and/or Computer Science principles, including fundamentals of secure software design, network security concepts.
Experience with virtualization and Linux operating system
Preferred Qaulifications:
Experience having applied cybersecurity learning to an internship or research/lab position
Knowledge of and experience using MITRE ATT&CK framework
Ability to present and clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of cloud service providers and experience securing cloud environments
Demonstrated interest in serving the public
