Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Manager to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision. This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction, and procurement practices.
Performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
Ensuring detailed accurate schedules are prepared and maintained by the Contractor.
Planning and monitoring progress on construction activities.
Preparation of schedules in P6 & Excel.
Review and verification of Contractors progress report.
Preparation of progress reports for the client.
Following up on contractor site progress and report any deviation from the approved baseline.
Verify contractor progress against the approved WIRs.
Confirm the daily report data.
Analysis and reporting on contractor delay claims.
Providing mentoring for team member and contractor staff in preparation of schedule in P6, and progress reporting.
Verification of progress through site inspection as required.
Analysis of complex contractor delay claims and preparing reports and recommendations for the client.
Prepare detailed three weeks look ahead schedules and detailed scheduling of time critical activities.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s in engineering or a related field from an accredited university
Minimum 15 years’ experience in planning and scheduling including having worked as the scheduling manager on large-scale projects.
Must have led large PC Department working with top international firms an on prestigious projects and expertise must have been gained from working for reputed firms.
Expert in Primavera P6, PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office Software, Power BI is advantageous.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory and personnel administrative functions is preferred.
