This position is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and successful Nightwing is looking for someone to lead a small Logistics and Asset Management team, supporting a fast-paced rapidly changing high-tech mission in the Northern VA area. The lead will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team including logistics, procurement, and engineering personnel to perform quick-reaction support services. The Lead is expected to independently interact with variety of customers on a daily basis and be a team player, self-motivated and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very complex and dynamic environment. The Lead is expected to create relationships with remote logistics teams to smoothly expedite shipment and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Tasking on this job will vary widely from day to day. The Lead must be knowledgeable on all facets of Property Management, Warehouse Operations and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Logistics personnel will be cross-trained in all areas of warehouse operation, inventory management, and procurement. S/He will be expected to mentor and train specialists in order to ensure coverage across the team. The Lead must be familiar with local established business policies, procedures and public law to ensure compliance. S/He may have the opportunity to transport customer items within the Washington Metropolitan Area and on a nationwide basis. The Lead will also be responsible for shipping items to an OCONUS facility operated and maintained by Raytheon. S/He may be required to travel to the site for familiarity and understand how items are tracked, consumed, and stored at site. Our operations will require the specialist to work in inclement weather (Rain, Snow, Heat and Humidity) to complete our mission. Individuals will be required to lift 50 pound items unaided, and will be required to be obtain a DOT Medical Card, drive Forklifts and be certified for DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials and Electrostatic Discharge. Requirement Skills/Background: Must have a minimum of 15 years of related experience Must have experience supporting global mission centric programs Must have experience leading, guiding, and managing a team of up to 10 personnel Demonstrable logistics related experience A good driving record and ability to drive a 26 ft box truck Demonstrated ability to work as a team player providing excellent customer service skills Must have the ability to lift 50 pound items unaided Experience transporting items within the Washington Metro area and across country Must have the ability to work in inclement weather conditions (rain, snow, heat and humidity) to complete required mission Candidates must have a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance Candidates must have U.S. Citizenship Desired Skills/Background: Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office computer applications Forklift certification ESD, DOT/IATA & HAZMAT Certified CDL Class A Driver's License Education Required: Requires university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of four years of prior relevant experience.
