Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks an Associate Supply Chain Logistics Specialist for a fast-paced, growing and dynamic position to support Orlando, FL facility.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs a combination of manual and clerical duties.
Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical and digital shipping records.
Responsible for the receipt, delivery and inspection of incoming material.
Warehousing of customer, program, and company-acquired equipment and material.
The candidate will also be responsible for packaging and shipping support for their programs.
Maintaining functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Ensures accuracy of delivery information, goods receipt, and government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with other business area personnel.
Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of program development and deployment team operations.
Coordinates transportation of material and correspondence within the local Northrop Grumman business environment.
Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and shipping quotes.
Examines stock to verify conformance for annual reporting requirement; stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; assist Global Supply to requisition stock to fill incoming orders.
Determines methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years' experience in shipping, property accountably, or storage operations
Experience in SAP modules Good Receiving and Equipment
Experience with using property accountability and/or warehouse management databases.
Must be able to maintain property records and provide traceability of materials.
Must possess the ability to receive material, inspect and verify for accuracy and determine best storage practices for warehouse environment.
Experience with and be comfortable operating electric pallet jacks/Forklifts (PIVs)
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to work standing up for extended periods of time.
Must possess a valid state issued driver's license with ability to maintain.
Must possess a DOD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years' experience in property accountably and/or warehousing operations and software databases
1 years' experience with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters in supply chain logistics and software databases
Experience in an Enterprise Export/Import Management System and familiar in International Trade Compliance (ITC)
Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
