Job Description:
As Environmental Test Lab Floor Lead, candidate will be responsible for technical oversight regarding climatic/vibration testing in the lab by coordinating test staffing and daily activities for environmental technicians.
Activities include the handling and manipulation of extreme high value hardware, installation of instrumentation such as thermocouples and accelerometers, programming of test chamber computer control systems, monitoring of data acquisition systems, monitoring/controlling chamber/shaker performance, and leading our training program for technicians.
Additional activities include the roll of lab custodian; Responsible for maintaining equipment calibration status, performing monthly safety audits, ensures lab has adequate lab supplies and responsible for transportation of fixtures/equipment to and from storage.
Will aid Engineering and Maintenance team members with complex tasks and/or troubleshooting and may be assigned to lead some tasks.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for training lower-level technicians in thermal, dynamics and vacuum testing.
Required to run daily resource planning meeting, attend CAB and perform weekly spot audits.
Acts as liaison for engineering staff and internal customers.
Expected to perform various technician duties in support of active test programs.
Qualifications:
Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
Experience with the operation and troubleshooting of environmental test equipment. (Vibration Shakers, Thermal Chambers, Vacuum Systems)
Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Proficient in the operation of standard PC's and Microsoft Office products.
Prior leadership of Non-Exempt employees.
Active Security Clearance is a plus
