Summary/objective
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team who will be responsible for program solution development, planning, and execution, talent development and innovation within a designated business area. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all concepts are aligned with the company's goals and objectives and to develop solutions, tools and processes that will be leveraged across the company.

Essential Functions

Lead the development of new product concepts and ideas from ideation to launch.
Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.
Manage the development process, including concept testing, prototyping, and product validation.
Present concepts to senior management and stakeholders.
Provide leadership and management oversight of your development team and oversee technical project performance of the team members.
Define, develop, and implement solutions to market and customer requirements in concert with the business area leadership team.
Lead and/or support proposal efforts within the business area and company.
Work in concert with the CTO, Chief Engineers, and Sr. Technical staff to define and implement product roadmaps and architectures for the business area and the company.
Partner with internal/external customers and development partners to define and shape requirements and solutions.
Mentor team members to grow their technical skills and contributions to the overall company.
Required Skills/Abilities
US Citizenship with Security Clearance eligibility.
Extensive knowledge of radar and/or EW systems.
Demonstrated capabilities in system design, signal processing, algorithm development and solution development.
Demonstrated ability to clearly understand and articulate technical issues that affect solution and outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in developing winning proposals/solutions and in their development execution.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Desire to work as a team with a result-driven approach.
Education/Training/Experience
Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, Mathematics, or related field required.
At least 5 years of related professional (technical) experience required.
At least 3 years of management experience or the ability to demonstrate management capabilities through equivalent leadership experiences.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
