Tracks vehicle records including new and existing vehicles. Maintains accurate records of vehicles. Ensures compliance with government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of this compliance. Schedules repairs or preventative maintains. Creates inspection schedules and ensures that they are kept. Performs work under general supervision.
Responsibilities
Be familiar with Commercial and Military vehicles such as Toyota Land Cruiser and Hilux platforms, MRZRs, Polaris ATVs various types, LTATVs, Generators, Bobcats, Forklifts, Containerized Refrigeration Units, and various other commercial type vehicles and other power-driven equipment.
Perform all organizational services required to meet the TM 10/20 standards.
Oversee maintenance required by the original equipment manufacturer as described in the vehicle/equipment manuals.
Responsible for interfacing with senior leaders, engineers, and commercial industry personnel on assigned equipment to troubleshoot problems, define requirements for engineering requests, and develop solutions for meeting vehicle modification requirements.
Able to assist other mechanics with troubleshooting complex failures (if applicable).
Understands complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation, and/or instrumentation systems, and uses analytical and investigative methods and techniques to ensure systems meet required specifications.
Establishes methods to meet work schedules and coordinates work activities with the customer.
Resolves work problems and recommends work measures to improve productivity.
Prepares production and other reports as required.
Plans and enforces safety requirements and requisitions supplies, parts, and necessary materials.
Qualifications
Must possess an active security clearance SECRET or higher.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Requires Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Mechanic Certification or equivalent and approximately 10 years of experience on military or commercial vehicle.
