PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Their duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to facilitate the hiring and onboarding process for company employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assess and anticipate human resources-related needs.
Assist with promotions, transfers, and new hires in collaboration with department management.
Provide input on workforce and succession planning as well as restructuring.
Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees
Consult regularly with management and provide guidance when appropriate.
Assist Senior HRBP to mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention
Complete verification of employments.
Conduct employee exit surveys for all terminating employees and collect data.
Conduct weekly new hire orientation.
Conduct data entry within Workday to including onboarding tasks, I9 verification, and adding usernames, job and compensation changes, and termination.
Complete and submit invoices.
Assist with employee events such as company picnic or holiday parties.

Intermediate knowledge of Human Resources best practices, functional areas, and state and federal compliance as related to the field.

Basic computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
Effective communication skills to effectively communicate information to others as well as to present information in front of a group.
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and professionally.

Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) quickly and correctly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS degree with at least 5-10 years of task related experience with increased complexity of contracts and/or number of employees.
Experience using an HRIS system, Deltek experience preferred.
Proven work experience in an area that required high levels of accuracy or auditing.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
