What We're Doing
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The Work
The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a software engineer that can convert complex algorithms into working operational software. You will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include:
Design and develop new Java applications; Maintain existing Java applications
Assist with the design of new and modified complex mathematical algorithms
Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

Basic Qualifications:
Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position
Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment
Experience implementing complex mathematical algorithms into operational software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment
Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.)
Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams
Strong Cyber background, for example: resolving and/or mitigating Cyber-Security findings from Fortity/SonarQube/etc
Security+ or equivalent certification within 60 days of starting
Desired Skills:
Experience using Eclipse to develop software applications
Experience in the implementation of MATLAB based algorithms prior to their adoption into tactical Java-based software.
Experience using automated unit testing frameworks
Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams
Experience mentoring junior software engineers
Experience with performance modeling
Experience with microservices
Experience with DevSecOps and/or build management
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
