Job Title: Cyber Tools Specialist
Job Description
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of Cyber Test Procedures (TPs) in the NT labs, the Cyber Testbed (CTB), and Ops. Tasks include installing, deploying, and unit testing Cyber Products such as CyberArk, HBSS, ACAS, ArcSight, MFA, BigFix, Endgame, and KMS. The role involves providing redlines to COS engineers, feedback to Cyber Leadership, and documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards. The Cyber Tools Specialist will support the Cyber Tools team as part of the Platform and Infrastructure (P&I) ART.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Cyber TPs in NT labs, CTB, and Ops.
Install, deploy, and unit test Cyber Products (e.g., CyberArk, HBSS, ACAS, ArcSight, MFA, BigFix, Endgame, KMS).
Provide redlines to COS engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership.
Document lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards.
Support the Cyber Tools team as part of the Platform and Infrastructure (P&I) ART.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 5-9 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3-6 years' experience.
Active Secret Clearance.
8570 Certification (Security + OR SSCP OR SCNP OR GSEC).
Experience in technical troubleshooting of software applications and integrating COTS products, data analytics of system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and risk mitigation resulting in system accreditation.
Working knowledge of implementing STIGs and GPOs.
Strong knowledge of Cyber technology and DoD Information assurance system certification.
Hands-on experience utilizing patch management, scanning and auditing, security event monitoring, host-based security, and multi-factor tools in an integrated lab environment.
Excellent technical document preparation skills and verbal communication skills for presenting technical Cyber issues and reports to Agile Release Train leadership.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Agile Lifecycle utilizing Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Work Environment
As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC NT), this position will be a contributor to the design and development of Java-based mathematical algorithms in support of the C2BMC. The candidate will help generate software design artifacts, implement Java-based software changes, support design and code reviews, support software testing, and resolve issues arising from software testing. The candidate will be involved in the presentation of developed designs and will actively participate in agile planning and execution using established C2BMC processes. Infrequent travel (less than 10%) to Colorado may be required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $73.00
