Model-Based Systems Engineerwho will support the
Joint C-UAS Officein Huntsville, AL. The salary for this position will depend on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead MBSE Efforts for Concept Development by using tools, such as Cameo Systems Modeler, to develop operational concepts (OV-1) and integration models for Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS).
Develop system integration models to define interactions between sensors, C2 systems, and fire control components, using MBSE to visually represent architecture and ensure traceability between requirements, system functions, and design elements.
Use MBSE to define mission threads, use cases, and operational workflows for Sensor-to-C2 and C2-to-C2 integration, supporting reference architecture development.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including government representatives and industry partners, to gather inputs, refine concepts, and ensure alignment of models with operational needs.
Contribute to the planning of demonstrations and experimentation activities, using MBSE to create detailed models that simulate system behavior, interactions, and operational scenarios. Ensure that concepts are validated through comprehensive modeling and analysis.
Requirements:
Proven experience using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw) to develop system architecture models, operational views, and integration models.
Experience in systems engineering for complex systems-of-systems programs/projects, from concept development through integration, testing, and fielding.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Must hold a Secret Security Clearance.
BS in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering and MBSE.
Must be a US Citizen.
Additional Desired Experience
Familiarity with DoD operations, concepts, and technologies, particularly related to air and missile defense and integrated fire control.
Experience developing reference architectures using MBSE, including defining mission threads, use cases, and system integration models.
