The Military Engines team has a rear opportunity for an Associate Director, Future Fighter Propulsion Systems, Integrated Customer Solutions in Connecticut.
Located in East Hartford, Connecticut, the Future Fighter Propulsion Systems Associate Director will work across the Military Engines (ME) Special Technology Program Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT) and ME leadership teams to develop and implement winning business acquisition campaigns associated with U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Future Fighter programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of winning capture strategies for propulsion development campaigns associated with 6th Generation propulsion development
Overall accountability for strategic business acquisition pursuits, in accordance with the P&W ME Business Acquisition Process
Collaborate with IPMT key stakeholders to executed gated business acquisition reviews, secure leadership commitments and approvals, and communicate status to senior and executive leadership
Successfully assess customer requirements and engage strategic partners to develop compliant, on-time, superior proposals
Lead competitive assessments and the identification and/or refinement of customer selection criteria, understanding of competition position, and actions to improve Pwin using RTX tools and processes (e.g., Color Team reviews, RTX Capture Management Excellence toolkit)
Coordinate activities across a diverse group of internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Communications, 3rd Party Consultants) to drive alignment and awareness of activities with an overlapping customer base
Provide data/analysis for Monthly Program Business Reviews to internal and/or external customers and stakeholders
Support customer negotiations to secure contracts
Lead after action reviews and champion process improvements across the organization consistent with P&W CORE principles
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years' experience in engineering and program management; OR an Advanced Degree with 10+ years of experience in engineering and program management
5+ years of demonstrated capture management experience for opportunities greater than $50M
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
Must have an active/current US Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to assess business needs, translate customer requirements, and work with key stakeholders to develop compliant business acquisition proposals
Demonstrated knowledge of US DOD federal acquisition regulations and experience working with major airframers
Strong Technical background and track record of successful execution of business acquisition for propulsion development and/or production programs
Demonstrated knowledge of associate contractors and the competitive landscape
Executive Level communications skills are a must
Ability to analyze/solve complex problems
Ability to work multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to anticipate internal and external customer needs
CORE (ACE Associate)
Self-motivated; be proactive and take initiative to complete projects
Excellent customer focus, team building, and collaboration skills
Active Secret security clearance required
Proficient in MS Office 365, Teams, Zoom, virtual collaboration and Agile execution tools
