Job Description:
Parsons is hiring a Principal Estimator to support our growing manufacturing/industrial client base. In this position you will be part of the PMO and providing direction and leadership for each phase of the project scope to assure on cost task completion within or below budget, with excellent quality and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Principal Estimator must have project, contract negotiations, various project delivery methods (EPCm, EPC, E/P/Cm) and construction management experience on a project that are ranges from $500M to >$1 Billion in Total Installed Cost.
Requirements
· 10 years' experience (12-15 years preferred) in estimating for a multi-disciplinary self-perform heavy civil contractor
· Experience managing estimating teams
· Estimating experience on $200M + Design Build and Bid-Build projects
· Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating preferred
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Ability to manage an estimating team that would be required to perform difficult and complex estimating task deliverables typical to the engineering and construction industry projects and programs is required. In addition, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a thorough knowledge of company and project procedures and practices, and a familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, and HCSS. Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications. Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
