To provide mission critical support ensuring execution of the personnel security and facility clearance programs for a federal client.
Tasks
Provides personnel security support of the overall operational objectives for the federal customer. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Review, evaluate and adjudicate reports of investigation, personnel files, and other records to determine whether to grant, deny, revoke, suspend or restrict security clearances consistent with suitability issues.
Perform all necessary services to intake and review information reports in accordance with 10 CFR 710, agency specific Orders, Executive Orders and other national and local directives, policies and procedures in order to be able to correctly identify and evaluate derogatory and mitigating information and make a recommendation regarding an individual's eligibility or continued eligibility for a security clearance.
Provide expertise and perform all necessary services for the processing of HSPD-12 eligibility.
Review clearance packages for initial clearances and reinvestigations to ensure information is complete and consistent with procedures, policies and/or precedents; transmit the reviewed clearance packages to the appropriate investigative agency, process the investigation, and support the Help Desks.
Provide expertise and perform all necessary services to review for completeness and process other security-related documents. These may include requests for clearance extensions, transfers, reinstatements, reciprocity, terminations, spouse/cohabitant data documents, incident reports, requests for personnel security files or information therein, and any other requests related to a personnel security action; access credit report system and produce credit reports, in a manner consistent with privacy act routine uses; and query OPM data base for investigation status.
Perform all necessary services to review for completeness and process other documents, such as routine correspondence, or other administrative functions. This may include accessing and making accurate entries into correspondence tracking systems and databases.
Assist with room and conference scheduling, filing services, clerical tasks, database and spreadsheet updates.
Data entry includes the following activities: create and update database records of personnel security actions using the personnel security database; facilitate the e-QIP for National Security Positions through the e-QIP or successor system, create and update database records of personnel security actions.
Perform all necessary services to prepare draft and final correspondence, including forms, letters, and memorandums, related to all personnel security activities.
Perform all necessary services to maintain a mail station adequate to: receive, time/date stamp, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing correspondence for mailing by ensuring appropriate signatures and attachments, date stamp, copy as required, and distribute as appropriate for internal/external delivery; and package mail, including classified mail and personnel security files. Ensure timely mail distribution to authorized recipients, or when such recipients are not reasonably available, to their designee or the COR, as appropriate.
Minimum Experience & Education
With a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree this position requires two years of relevant experience performing administrative support functions.
With a High School Diploma this position requires four years of relevant experience performing administrative support functions, one of which should include supervisory or executive-level office management/administrative support functions.
With no degree, five years of relevant experience performing administrative support functions is required, two years of which should include supervisory or executive-level office management/administrative support functions.
Required Qualifications
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Must be knowledgeable on and able to apply Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, 10 CFR 710, and agency-specific orders, policies, directives, standards, regulations, and agency policies and desktop procedures (DPs).
Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience using word processing and desktop publishing application software and hardware.
Experience in responding to requests for information and searching automated systems for data.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs
Compensation & Benefits
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.00 - $27.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
