THE POSITION
The Network Engineer at our Columbus, Ohio location will manage DISN Consolidated Provisioning across the entire lifecycle, including order entry, preparation, solution design, and circuit activation. This role provides high-level technical support for DISA programs and systems, focusing on the implementation and optimization of network infrastructure for both classified and non-classified networks. Responsibilities include customer outreach, QoS configuration, commercial leasing support, and facilities engineering. The Network Engineer will ensure DISN network functionality and efficiency by performing systems analysis, administering network servers, and maintaining system availability for mission partners. Effective communication with cross-functional teams, evaluation of network issues, and development of innovative solutions are crucial, all while adhering to security protocols and operational requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Support: Provide customer service-oriented network engineering for DISN Consolidated Provisioning at the Columbus, Ohio location, covering order entry, preparation, solution design, and circuit activation.
Technical Support and Compliance: Offer technical network infrastructure support for DISA programs, ensuring compliance with operating environments.
Network Implementation and Optimization: Implement and optimize both classified and non-classified network infrastructure.
Customer Outreach and Quality: Engage in customer outreach, QoS configuration, and facilities engineering.
Network Management: Manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain DISN network infrastructure.
Systems Analysis: Conduct systems analysis and address complex technology and programmatic issues.
Configuration and Performance: Optimize network servers and related components for peak performance.
Availability and Documentation: Ensure system and network availability, prepare order documentation, and resolve client issues.
Problem Solving and Design: Evaluate network problems, use design tools for projections, and develop corrective actions.
Technical Skills and Improvements: Apply technical skills, anticipate customer needs, and oversee system upgrades.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to safety, security, and certification requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Active Secret Clearance; AND,
2+ years of military experience in a communications field or an applicable technical discipline; OR,
2+ years in an accredited technical training program, including 1 year of experience in an applicable communication field; or
