Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Project Manager to join our team!
Austin or Houston, TX and the Texas Gulf Coast considered.
Need for an Environmental Project Manager who will focus on creating innovative, practical solutions to various environmental problems while acting a client representative.
The successful candidate will manage site investigation and remediation projects of varying size and complexity, which would include supervision of junior professional staff and technical staff involved in the field investigations, budget control, client liaison and report preparation and review. In addition, the professional would also mentor and provide technical support to more junior staff, as required. Experience managing construction projects is a plus
A diverse background in environmental site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, building assessments, construction oversight and field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water) is desired.
Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes. The Environmental Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
What You'll Be Doing:
Preparation of documents such as Phase I, Phase II, RAR reports and workplans with minimal oversight, synthesize analytical data, and develop conceptual site models
Detail-oriented, team player with good written and oral communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills
Task management including preparation of proposals and cost estimates, field team management, schedule management, and project organization
Intermittent field work or oversight may be required based on project needs
Serves as a technical leader and as a recognized expert in field of practice
Provides regulatory compliance consulting services as an authority in field of specialty
Prepares and presents technical papers and reports
May review and assist in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
4-year degree in Environmental science curriculum, Engineering, geology or related technical/business field
10+ years of experience in the environmental industry with 5+ years managing projects
Direct experience working at petroleum or chemical plant clients is preferred
A strong familiarity with Texas environmental laws, specifically TRRP and Technical Requirements is preferred.
Ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Current 40-hour HAZWOPER Training
Excellent written and oral communications skills and knowledge of industry practices and environmental rules and regulations

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
