Job Description:
Parsons is now hiring a Senior Cost Manager who can lead a team of professionals overseeing every phase of mission critical projects or programs.

We need our Senior Cost Managers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role you will develop, manage, and/or executes all phases of the project controls effort (planning/scheduling and cost analysis). You will utilize widely diversified knowledge of project controls activities, and draws upon extensive experience and exposure to various types of projects and clients.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interface / work with Commercial Team and other Departments to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones.
Manage / report on multiple work packages the expenditure to date / to completion / versus planned expenditure etc
Manage / report on multiple work packages expenditure compared to Tender Award
Assist in Overall Development cost report
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex project cost problems.Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides and prepare reports.Assist in assessment the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
Oversees the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of costs; keeps project and company management fully informed.
Assigns and supervises multiple work packages work activities (as applicable)
Recommends and assist in the customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
Create ad-hoc reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in QS, Engineering or Construction Management (MRICS or equivalent).
Minimum 15 years experience in cost estimating, cost planning, reporting and analysis with demonstrated skill in establishing estimating criteria, planning and supervising project cost engineering activities.
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills
Proficient English written and oral communication skills, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills, both internal and external, are required.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to adapt to customization of estimating software.
Ability to work in teams. Ability to follow through. Ability to clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
Strong knowledge and familiarity with typical project control software, such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, ACONEX, Cost X, ERP, Primavera Unifier, and Contract Manager.
