Nightwing is seeking to hire a highly motivated Telecommunication Engineer to install, configure, and troubleshoot phone and data networks. The engineer will collaborate with team members to develop and deploy distributed network architectures, create network diagrams, recommend hardware and software solutions, and implement network monitoring. The engineer will assist the design and deployment of new distributed networks and modernization of existing networks. The engineer will be expected to work alone or with small teams, interacting directly with installers and end users in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Flexibility is essential and the engineer must be willing to work on a wide variety of tasks, either leveraging experience or learning new technologies quickly. The engineer will develop and occasionally present well-written reports. *All candidates need to have an active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance Required Knowledge and Skills: An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study; plus 5 years of related work experience. Two years of experience in telco infrastructure, GSM, GPRS, and TDMA Experience conducting system integration of mission systems for field deployment and testing Experience creating, maintaining, and updating network documentation, diagrams and security documentation Competency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant work experience Desired Knowledge and Skills: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field of study Communications Security (COMSEC) Information Security (INFOSEC) RF, including cellular and Wi-Fi An active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Required Education and Experience: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
