Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Assurance/Information Systems Cyber Security Intern to join our team! In this role you will obtain real world hands on experience within the Software Assurance and Information Systems Cyber Security solutions and practices.

Parsons is hiring current students enrolled in year 3 of an accredited educational institutions Computer Science or Cyber Security Program on a Research and Development Program located in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. This is a paid Software Assurance/Cyber Security internship where you will partner with subject matter experts and work with industry and government partners on tasking and solutions designed to defend against today's threats.
During this internship you will grow your software assurance and information systems cyber skills and enhance your career potential as you work closely with cyber professionals on mission-focused projects in a fast-paced, agile, and technology-evolving research and development environment. You will have a an opportunity to participate in design, execution, and hands on utilization of software assurance and information systems cybersecurity processes and tools that enhance the security posture of information system and reinforce the importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding against threats..
What You'll Be Doing:
Researching, testing, evaluating, and selecting OSS Static Analysis tools for inclusion in TAP Lab inventory.
Automating software assurance functions using Python, Bash, or other scripting language.
Integrating software assurance tools into Gitlab CI/CD pipeline.
Evaluating software assurance findings and suggest architecture improvements and remediation.
Learning fundamentals of containerization ecosystem (Docker, K8s, orchestration)
Learning about the software and information systems cyber security lifecycles
Collaborating with colleagues via various communication mediums on results, solutions, planning, feedback, and outcomes of tasking
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Ability and willingness to obtain a Secret Level DoD Clearance
Beginner to intermediate knowledge of C, C++, Java, or Python
Attitude and understanding that set backs occur and that every experience, regardless of outcome, is a learning experience
Dedication and dependability
Auditory presentation skills
Ability to work within a collaborative team setting
Ability to document solutions and present to a diverse audience

Salary Range:
$21.44 - $37.55
