What It's Like
The Business Intelligence Engineering (BIE) team is a data-driven team working to turn raw data into impactful business insights of the Home Internet business. The BIE team also serves as the geospatial subject matter experts bringing key insights to our Leadership that help drive nationwide initiatives. The BIE team also has the high visibility duty of producing key datasets surrounding regulatory and legal work for upcoming mergers, FCC reports, and other ad-hoc requests as they come.
What You'll Do
As a Geospatial Analyst Intern, you will help improve our spatial processing by finding ways to improve and automate key processes including but not limited to:
Nationwide Address Cleaning and Enrichment
Create Dashboards in Tableau
Automate our Monthly Processes
Developing views to illustrate where High Speed Internet / T-Fiber can grow
Key Responsibilities
Continued development and scaling of our geospatial workflows in Databricks.
Product eligibility and competitive analysis, with accompanying visuals as needed.
Involvement in high-priority enterprise projects to improve customer acquisition, retainment, and experience.
Support dataset development and responses to inquires from Federal and State governments.
Assist in creating data models to support Data Engineers.
What It Takes
Experience with Python and SQL
Experience with Scala and Spark/PySpark
Plus if experienced with Apache Sedona
Experience with Databricks and AWS
Familiar with BI Tools: Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI
Familiar with Geospatial Tools: ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS,
Minimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships
