Overview
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analyst in Charlottesville, VA that will provide analytical support as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of applied remote sensing professionals.
Essential Job Duties
Responsibilities include providing non-literal analysis to produce intelligence products, using remote sensing methodologies, on data from a range of airborne and space-based imaging sensors.
Applies customized algorithms, tools, and methodologies for exploitation of GEOINT imagery, focusing on new approaches and capabilities to operational missions.
Assist Imagery Scientists in developing novel analytical methodologies to be applied to challenging remote sensing problem sets.
Utilize analytic tools and techniques such as geographic information systems (GIS), data visualization and modeling, systems analysis, comparative analysis, and database development.
Supports GEOINT collection experiments and employs measures of effectiveness to assess remote sensing system capabilities.
Understands the capabilities of GEOINT systems and sensors and their potential application to the intelligence mission, performs duties with minimal oversight; applies knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies; provides technical assistance to project leaders and program managers.
Provides analytical assistance to other GEOINT Imagery Scientists analysts and customer workforce. Works as part of such teams under immediate direction of an Image Scientist.
Provides user input to developers and conducts operational validation of novel exploitation algorithms, tools, and methodologies.
Minimum Requirements
Active in scope TS/SCI clearance.
Master's degree from an accredited school in a field of basic or applied science or engineering. Typical fields of study include Remote sensing, chemistry, physics, biology, geology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, environmental science, geography, and the agricultural sciences.
12 years' experience AND current (within 6 years) IC experience.
Must have experience with Hyperspectral Imagery.
In special cases, with the discretion of the appropriate Government representative, commensurate experience will be accepted in lieu of educational requirement.
4 years' previous experience in an operational intelligence production environment.
4 years' experience using collection, research, and analysis applications against classified and open-source information, including use of GOTS and COTS software-based GIS tools.
User-Level experience in remote sensing imaging and non-imaging systems (e.g., Multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal, radar, OPIR and infrared.
Current and valid access to National and theater-level intelligence databases.
Recent Intelligence Community (IC) experience with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), US Air Force National Air and Space Intelligence Center (USAF/NASIC), and/or U.S. Army National Ground Intelligence Center.
Likely deployment or travel/TDY to SOUTHCOM, CENTCOM or other AOR as required.
