Who We Are
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Program Manager to oversee and manage nuclear environmental programs for our Nuclear Environmental Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading complex nuclear-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all technical, financial, and schedule objectives are met while adhering to HII's high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Do
Advises and supports President, Global Security (GS) Group and GS leadership team.
Communicates with staff members, provides project management expertise, and implements strategic planning processes.
Prepares for meetings and provides attendees with all the necessary information.
Prepares internal and external communications, such as reports and presentations.
Manages organization-wide programs or initiatives.
Directs members in support roles, such as executive assistants and project managers.
Manages and tracks group-level action items and works with department leaders on project coordination and business administration.
Identifies issues and provides workable solutions.
What You Must Have
8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
Candidate must have experience with government contracts and defense - related programs.
Candidate must be proficient in the use of PCs and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs.
Candidate must have experience as a Program Manager, managing costs, schedules, and technical performance.
Candidate must have experience providing direction to subordinates including management level employees using established policies and precedents.
Candidate must have experience developing solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to support complex operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Candidate must have prior experience handling employee personnel issues, performance reviews, new hire interviews, and disciplinary actions.
Candidate must have experience making decisions relating to program, customer requirements, and employees.
Candidate must have experience making decisions on behalf of the company in accordance with company policies.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Physical Requirements
Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
