MID - Counterterrorism / Insurgency Analyst (Watchlisting)
Position Summary
DarkStar is seeking a highly skilled MID-level Counterterrorism / Insurgency Analyst (Watchlisting) to join our team supporting a critical intelligence community customer in Reston, VA. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, analyzing and cross-referencing intelligence data to identify threats and enhance national security efforts. The successful candidate will play an essential role in the Terrorist Identity Nomination (TIN) process, contributing to the watchlisting mission by delivering accurate, actionable intelligence.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct systematic and detailed reviews of DoD datasets to identify vital information linked to known or suspected terrorists, directly supporting national security initiatives.
Identify, prioritize, and extract actionable intelligence from various DoD datasets on high-priority terrorist targets, as specified by the Government.
Cross-reference terrorist information across multiple intelligence holdings, verifying accuracy and completeness while eliminating data duplication to maintain high data integrity standards.
Compile comprehensive nomination reports that support the Terrorist Identity Nomination (TIN) process, ensuring all reports meet Government specifications, with accurate formatting, classification, and exceptional attention to detail.
Meet and exceed TIN production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Proactively correct and resubmit reports as necessary, preparing them for dissemination through designated channels.
Serve as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and expertise in Watchlisting activities and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes growth and learning.
Engage with key IC organizations on Counter-Terrorism (CT) operations, products, and information systems, building a broad understanding of their roles and contributions.
Participate in meetings, conferences, intelligence exchanges, and working groups to stay informed on emerging trends and technologies that drive the DIA's Watchlisting mission forward.
Utilize experience with DoD datasets and intelligence reporting activities to guide National Terrorist Watchlisting policies and procedures, making a significant impact on counter-terrorism efforts.
Leverage an understanding of terrorist groups, their leaders, activities, and ideologies to provide comprehensive insights that enhance intelligence analysis and watchlisting efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
CI Polygraph preferred.
Bachelor's degree (related field preferred); equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, subject to a waiver.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in intelligence analysis or a related field.
Salary Range
$68,000 - $72,000 per year
This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
